The move is targeted at creating industry environment at academic institutes which shall help students to get hands-on practical exposure to various technologies such as – additive manufacturing, robotics, process instrumentation, automation, CNC control, product and process development, etc. The Centers of excellences shall work as knowledge centers for the students and also be research and development center for postgraduate and doctoral studies. The faculty at these centers of excellences shall be able to use this center as a hub for industry interactions too.

Such CoEs have been signed with the NITTTR, Bhopal, VNIT, Nagpur, NITK, Surathkal and NIT Warangal.
